This Cookie Policy explains what cookies this website uses, why, and how you can manage or clear them. Mileage Logistics Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller (registration number ZC232592) and pays the Data Protection Fee. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your personal data more generally.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device, used to remember information between pages or visits. Some are set directly by this site ("first-party"), and some are set by services we use that run on this site ("third-party"), such as our payment processor.

Cookies we use

We only use cookies that are necessary for the site to work, or that a third-party service we rely on sets for security/fraud-prevention purposes. We do not currently use any analytics, tracking, or advertising cookies. If that changes in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.

  • Sign-in session cookie (necessary). Set when you sign in to your account, so the site knows who you are as you move between pages. This is also what keeps you signed in if you close the site and come back later — it's a long-lived cookie (up to around 400 days), not one that clears when you close your browser, so you don't need to sign in again on every visit. You can sign out at any time from your account page, which clears it.
  • Payment security cookies (necessary, third-party). Our payment processor, Stripe, sets its own cookies when you reach the payment step of a booking, used to help detect fraudulent card use. We don't control these directly — see Stripe's own privacy policy for details.
  • Address lookup cookies (necessary, third-party). The address autocomplete field on our booking form uses Google Maps/Places, which may set its own cookies while that field is active. See Google's own privacy policy for details.

Why we use them

Every cookie above exists to make a specific part of the site work — signing in and staying signed in, taking payment securely, and looking up an address — not to track you across other websites or build an advertising profile.

How to manage or clear cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser's own settings — every major browser lets you view, block, or clear cookies for a specific site or all sites. Blocking the sign-in session cookie will mean you can't stay signed in or use your account, but you can still get a quote and book as a guest. Blocking Stripe's cookies may prevent you from completing payment. Search your browser's help pages for "clear cookies" for exact steps, as these vary by browser and device.
